FAAST XS™ is the ultimate high performance fire detection solution for smaller applications, such as small server rooms, telecoms facilities, areas with high ceilings, surgeries, archives and buildings with HVAC. FAAST XS delivers the earliest warning detection using the patented particle separator and dual vision chamber, which eliminates false alarms and helps protect areas that may be too harsh for other types of detection.

Dual source sensing technology

FAAST XS™ uses FAAST’s unique ‘dual vision’ technology with advanced algorithms that can successfully distinguish smoke from all other particulates

Unique three-stage filtration

FAAST XS™ uses an ultrafine three stage filtration process, which increases device life cycle and maintenance intervals as well as accuracy. An aerospace-designed and patented wing filter is used as a first step filtration method, performing ultrafine filtration, which separates and eliminates particles greater than 30 microns

  • A replaceable integral harsh filter captures any large escaped particles before airflow reaches the optical chamber

Acclimate mode

FAAST XS™ includes an Acclimate mode facility, which reduces nuisance alarms for devices located in changing environments. In Acclimate mode the sensitivity of the unit continuously adjusts over time, within set limits as the local environment changes.

Advanced system health check

FAAST XS™ uses bi-directional ultrasonic flow sensing and chamber airflow monitoring for precise system health information. This is combined with the device’s intuitive LCD display and interface, which allows easy reading of information such as faults, air flow and device information and local device interaction. 

IP connectivity

Comprehensive connectivity options enable FAAST XS™ to be monitored and managed locally or remotely in a number of ways through TCP / IP, Ethernet via Web browser or by a direct connection through the device’s on-board USB.
